GRINDSTED® CMC is used by the ceramic industry in addition to the raw material to make the ceramic body. It acts as a binder and increase the hardness of the finished product. It also allows to use higher pressure to mold the ceramic.

GRINDSTED® CMC can also be used in the production of the glaze applied as coating on the ceramic. Again, it act as a binder and stabiliser in the glaze. It bring a smoother surface to the finished product and improve the hardness and resistance of the glaze.
