Drilling fluids

Purified and semi purified CMC (also known in the oilfield industry as “PAC”) is a key additive of drilling fluids.

It contributes to adjusting the viscosity of the mud and limits the “fluid loss”. It also prevents the settling of particles in the mud and act as a lubricating agent.

GRINDSTED® CMC has good temperature resistance and a superior anti-salt character. CMC is also efficient in salted and salt-saturated water and can be used in offshore drilling.
